Sam graduated from Smith College in 2005 with a BA in Film & Theatre, moved soon thereafter to the Bay Area to crew on a documentary film, and decided to never leave. He is currently in the MFA program in Cinema at San Francisco State University where he is in post-production on "Genderbusters," a 16mm short about a team of gender-bendy superheroes who drive around resolving the gender-binary dilemmas of folks all over San Francisco. In his nonexistent free time, he enjoys sailing on the bay and playing the bass guitar.
